Here are four things to know about Dr. Harris.
1. Dr. Harris, a board-certified family medicine physician, will serve as the hospital’s CMIO part time. He will continue practicing at the hospital-affiliated Bolivar (Mo.) Family Care Center, where he has worked for almost 30 years.
2. One of Dr. Harris’ primary tasks as CMIO will be assisting hospital officials with the implementation of a Meditech EMR upgrade.
3. Dr. Harris earned his medical degree from University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, where he also completed residency training in family practice and general medicine.
4. Dr. Harris is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
