Grant Wicklund plans to retire as CEO of Christus Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio, part of Irving, Texas-based Christus Health.
Mr. Wicklund joined Christus Santa Rosa Health System as system CEO in 2023, according to a Sept. 8 statement shared with Becker’s. He has more than 30 years of senior healthcare leadership experience.
During his tenure at Christus Santa Rosa Health System, the system expanded Christus Santa Rosa Hospital–Westover Hills, adding 100 private patient beds and increasing obstetric, neonatal and adult intensive care capacity. The expansion also included establishing a comprehensive neurosciences program.
His career included roles with Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare and Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health. He also served as CEO of St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kan., and president and CEO of Lutheran Medical Center and West Pines Behavioral Health Hospital in Westminster, Colo.
