Mr. Cook joined CHOP in 2012 as senior vice president. In his new role, Mr. Cook will oversee all strategy development and execution for the Children’s Hospital, including strategic planning and business development for national partnerships and international medicine.
Prior to joining CHOP, Mr. Cook provided healthcare strategy, performance improvement and managing consulting services to academic medical centers, community teaching hospitals and private sector healthcare concerns. Most recently, he was a principal with the management consulting practice of the Chartis Group in Chicago.
“When we began implementing our strategic plan a year ago, we declared that growth is the leading strategy, specifically, growing through innovation: regionally, nationally and internationally, with ‘innovation’ defined as continuous development of new products and services,” said Dr. Steven M. Altschuler, CHOP’s CEO. “Since his arrival at CHOP in February 2012, Matt has done an exceptional job in the role of senior vice president in overseeing our organization’s strategic growth. I announce his promotion with great pleasure.”
