University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences names new CIO

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock has appointed Rhonda Jorden as vice chancellor for IT and CIO.

Ms. Jorden has been with UAMS since 1992. She has held management roles in software development and clinical systems operations, and for the past 12 years has been the organization’s director of technical operations and CTO. She was also interim CIO for 14 months in 2010-2011.

“I am very excited to become the CIO of an institution where I’ve spent 22 years of my career,” said Ms. Jorden. “I look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with everyone as we fulfill UAMS’ mission of education, research and patient care.”
