Children's Health shakes up leadership team: 7 things to know

Children's Health in Dallas has made multiple leadership changes, effective Jan. 1.

Here are seven things to know about the changes.

David Biggerstaff was promoted to president of system clinical operations at Children's Health.

1. In his new role, Mr. Biggerstaff will be responsible for all inpatient and outpatient clinical operations; Our Children's House, which offers coordinated, comprehensive services for children with special healthcare needs; home health and nursing.

2. He will replace Doug Hock, who has taken the role of executive vice president and COO of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

3. Mr. Biggerstaff has been with Children's Health for eight years.

Michele Chulick will become president of the newly formed Children's Health Ventures.

4. In her new role, Ms. Chulick will lead a new operating unit that aims to invest and strategically partner with innovative companies, emerging technologies and institutional organizations that share its vision to find new ways to deliver care to consumers, according to Children's Health.

5. She will be responsible for business development, planning and virtual and international health.

Robert Morrow, MD, will become president of physician organizations and academic relations, in addition to his role as chief clinical officer.

6. Dr. Morrow will be responsible for all physician organizations, the system's affiliation with UT Southwestern Medical Center, Pediatric Partners by Children's Health, Children's Health Pediatric Group, Children's Medical Center Research Institute at UT Southwestern, and clinical research.

Peter Roberts will become president of population health and insurance services.

7. Mr. Roberts will take on his new role and retain all population health initiatives, the development and deployment of insurance products, the Health and Wellness Alliance for Children and population health data strategies.
