CHI Memorial names new chief medical officer

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CHI Memorial has appointed Lee Jackson, MD, as chief medical officer, effective Nov. 1.

Dr. Jackson is a leader in robotic surgery and was an early adopter of the da Vinci robotic surgical system more than 20 years ago. He is the former head of urology at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where he started the system’s robotics program. 

Most recently, Dr. Jackson was a physician advisor and medical director of surgical services at CHI Memorial, part of Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health.
