CHI Franciscan Health names market president for South King County: 3 things to know

Tacoma, Wash.-based CHI Franciscan Health has named Tony McLean market president for South King County in Washington, according to a Federal Way Mirror report.

Here are three things to know about Mr. McLean.

1. He has been president of St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Wash., since October 2008.

2. In his role, he will be responsible for St. Francis Hospital, and as of Jan. 1, 2016, will oversee Highline Medical Center in Burien, Wash. He will take over for Mark Benedum, current president at Highline Medical Center, who is retiring at the end of this year.

3. Mr. McLean’s appointment comes as CHI Franciscan works to realign its leadership structure. The system also recently appointed Syd Bersante market president for Pierce County overseeing St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, Wash., St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw, Wash., and St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. According to the report, the system has also named David Schultz market president for the Peninsula Region, overseeing Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale, Wash., and Bremerton, Wash., and St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Wash.
