Cherokee Regional Medical Center appoints CEO: 5 notes

Cherokee (Iowa) Regional Medical Center tapped Gary W. Jordan to serve as president and CEO, according to a Chronicle Times report.

Five notes:

1. Mr. Jordan most recently served as the CEO of Saint Luke’s Health System’s Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, Mo.

2. He also has experience serving in president and CEO roles with O’Fallon, Mo.-based Mercy.

3. He has 28 years of hospital leadership experience, beginning at Carroll Regional Medical Center in Berryville, Ark., where he was vice president of support services.

4. Mr. Jordan is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

5. He holds an MBA from Missouri State University in Springfield.
