Dr. Shen was appointed May 8 to helm the Hospital at Westlake Medical Center and Arise Austin Medical Center. His previous leadership experience includes the presidency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital as well as multiple roles with St. Louis-based Ascension, including senior vice president of network development. Dr. Shen is currently an associate professor for Dell Medical School at the University of Texas in Austin, according to his LinkedIn profile.
