CEO of McLaren Bay Region steps down

Mr. Lentz — who was named to the position at the 415-bed hospital in September 2021 — stepped down March 1. Jamie Carter was named interim CEO and president as of March 1. 

“Darrell proved himself to be a passionate, team-focused leader in his time with McLaren Bay Region,” Gary Bosco, chair of the McLaren Bay Region board of trustees, said in a statement. “During his tenure, our hospital saw advancements in clinical quality, patient experience, and expanded service offerings. We wish Darrell and his family the best in their future endeavors, and we welcome Jamie to our Bay City community.” 

The statement did not mention any further details regarding Mr. Lentz’s resignation.

McLaren Bay Region is a tertiary care hospital and is part of the 12-hospital McLaren Health Care system based in Grand Blanc, Mich.
