CEO, CFO hired to run Houston County Community Hospital

Two administrators have been temporarily hired to run Houston County Community Hospital in Erin, Tenn., according to a report from The Leaf-Chronicle.

Scott Barber was hired as CEO, and Ken Tillman was hired as CFO.

Both hold similar positions at Decatur County General Hospital, a county-owned facility in Parsons, Tenn., and will split their time between the two hospitals. The two hospitals will also share the cost of the executives' salaries.

"Both [Mr. Barber and Mr. Tillman] have been saving money, and they have been there at that hospital (in Parsons) for several years so they know the pitfalls of running a county hospital," Houston County Mayor George Clark said, according to the report. "It will help us cut our administration costs, and it may help them out in Parsons."
