Centura gets new SVP of care integration, continuity: 5 things to know

Mark Selna, MD, has joined Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health as senior vice president of care integration and continuity.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Selna.

1. In his role, he will be responsible for leading Centura's efforts to increase process reliability and clinical effectiveness. Specifically, he will oversee five systems of care — Centura Health Trauma System, Centura Health Heart & Vascular Network, Centura Health Cancer Network, Centura Health Neurosciences and Centura Health Children's Network — as well as Centura Health Employer Solutions, the network/service products that can be directly purchased by self-funded employers.

2. Prior to joining Centura, Dr. Selna was vice president of clinical integration at Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health.

3. He also previously served as a regional CMO and as chief accountable care officer of the Palo Alto (Calif.) Medical Foundation.

4. Prior to that, Dr. Selna was associate chief innovation officer of Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System and CMO of various provider-owned, multistate health plans.

5. Dr. Selna began his position with Centura in September.
