Catholic Health Services appoints VP of physician enterprise: 4 things to know

Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health Services of Long Island has appointed Ilene Gilbert-Droge vice president of physician enterprise.

Here are four things to know about Ms. Gilbert-Droge.

1. In her role, she will have oversight of the organization’s proprietary physician practices.

2. Prior to joining CHS, Ms. Gilbert-Droge was COO of First Physicians Group/Physician Services, of Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Health System. There, she directed operations and growth strategies for 21 specialty and primary care clinics throughout Sarasota County, with more than 150 physicians and mid-level providers, plus more than 300 clinical and support staff, CHS said.

3. Ms. Gilbert-Droge earned a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.

4. In 2014, she received the National Medical Group Management Association Medical Practice Executive of the Year award.
