Care New England executive heads to Connecticut Children’s

Hartford-based Connecticut Children’s has appointed Thomas Ricci executive vice president and CFO, effective Aug. 31.

Mr. Ricci joins the organization from Care New England Health System’s Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, R.I., where he most recently served as senior vice president of finance and interim COO, according to a health system news release shared with Becker’s

In his new role, he will oversee Connecticut Children’s financial strategy, planning, budgeting, revenue integrity and related financial operations. He also will serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team.

Mr. Ricci has more than 20 years of healthcare finance leadership experience. He played a key role in improving financial performance while supporting clinical expansion at Women & Infants Hospital, the release said.

Connecticut Children’s offers more than 30 pediatric specialties in more than 30 locations across Connecticut, eastern New York and western Massachusetts.
