Canopy Health, a healthcare alliance comprising 5,000 physicians, 18 hospitals and 23-plus urgent care offices, appointed Michael Sheils CFO.

1. Mr. Sheils comes to Canopy Health from Blue Shield of California, where he served as vice president of financial shared services.
2. Prior to joining Blue Shield of California, he held leadership roles at UnitedHealthcare, Cigna and Anthem.
3. Canopy Health is an affiliation between UC of San Francisco Health and Walnut Creek, Calif.-based John Muir Health. Established in 2015, the alliance aims to provide high-quality healthcare to residents of the San Francisco Bay Area through its participating entities.
