Tom Parker stepped down Jan. 23 as CEO of Mammoth Hospital in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., after announcing his impending retirement, and an interim leader has been appointed.
Mr. Parker led the hospital for more than seven years, overseeing unprecedented growth while the hospital embarked on the single largest expansion in its history, Laurey Carlson, chair of the hospital board, said in a news release.
CFO Melanie Van Winkle was selected as interim CEO. She joined Mammoth Hospital in January 2010 and brings more than two decades of healthcare financial experience, according to the hospital’s website.
Mammoth Hospital is a critical access hospital with 12 outpatient clinics.
