Sandra Anaya’s last day as CEO of Palo Verde Hospital in Blythe, Calif., is April 23, according to a hospital statement shared with Becker’s.
“Anaya has served as Palo Verde Hospital’s chief executive officer for nearly 13 years, and we thank her for her dedication and years of service to the hospital,” the statement said.
The departure comes as the Palo Verde Healthcare District continues a 180-day emergency department stabilization plan approved in February through a management services agreement with Riverside County, Calif.
Under the agreement, leaders from Riverside University Health System Medical Center and Clinics continue to provide temporary operational authority over the emergency department, clinic and supporting departments.
The hospital said Ms. Anaya’s departure does not change the terms of the agreement. The district remains the hospital’s licensed operator, and employees remain employed by the district.
