Mr. Wethington will assume his duties Aug. 18. He will replace interim CEO Henry Royse, who led the hospital upon the retirement of former CEO Bill Kindred in December. Mr. Kindred accepted an early retirement package as part of a cost-savings measure, according to the report.
Most recently, Mr. Wethington led Tomball (Texas) Regional Medical Center as CEO. He was previously president and CEO of Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
