Bozeman Health names new CEO: 5 things to know

Bozeman (Mont.) Health system has named John G. Hill president and CEO.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Hill.

1. He is expected to take over the job Aug. 1. He will succeed David Chen, MD, and Gordon Davidson who have been serving as interim dyad president and CEO.

2. He has more than two decades of experience as a healthcare executive.

3. Most recently, he was senior vice president and CEO of the PeaceHealth Oregon West Network, where he oversaw operations at four hospitals, including the flagship PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, Ore.

4. Mr. Hill also spent five years as president and CEO of The Medical Center of Aurora and Centennial Medical Plaza near Denver, Colo., and was COO of Medical City Dallas hospital, a 704-bed tertiary acute care facility.

5. Mr. Hill earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in business administration from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Additionally, he completed the Hospital Corporation of America Executive Development Program in Nashville, Tenn., and earned an executive certificate in healthcare administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
