Community Healthcare System CEO to retire: 3 things to know

John Gorski, president and CEO of Munster, Ind.-based Community Healthcare System, will retire July 9, The Times of Northwest Indiana reports.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Gorski.

1. He had been president and CEO since last July after previously serving as COO.

2. Frankie Fesko, board chairwoman for Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana, which operates Community Healthcare System, said Mr. Gorski's leadership "has helped us stay the course with our mission," and helped the system "achieve significant growth and nationally recognized excellence for patient care," according to the report.

3. Mr. Gorski will be replaced by Don Fesko, the hospital system's current COO and CEO of Community Hospital in Munster.
