Mr. Pitzer has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience. He most recently served as senior vice president of Duluth, Minn.-based Essentia Health and chief administrative officer of the Essentia Health-West Region in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.
Mr. Pitzer succeeds Gordon Davidson, BDHS’ interim CEO and CFO. Mr. Davidson will remain BDHS’ CFO when Mr. Pitzer joins the system on or before April 15.
