Boston Medical Center names CEO

Alastair Bell, MD, is the new CEO of Boston Medical Center Health System.

Dr. Bell was named president of the health system in November and promoted to interim CEO in March, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. He joined the medical center as chief operating officer in 2012 after working in international healthcare strategy at McKinsey and Co. 

Boston Medical Center Health System includes the largest essential hospital in New England and the largest Medicaid managed care provider in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
