Bob Phillips returns to Walker Baptist Medical Center as CEO: 4 things to know

Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Ala., part of Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health, tapped Bob Phillips to return to the organization as CEO.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Phillips.

1. He most recently served as CEO of Shelby Baptist Medical Center, a Brookwood Baptist facility in Alabaster, Ala.

2. Previously, Mr. Phillips was CEO of Walker Baptist and executive director of operations for Brookwood Baptist’s health centers, among other positions within the system, according to a news release.

3. Mr. Phillips earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., and master’s degrees in healthcare administration and business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

4. He recently was head of the Alabama Hospital Association’s image and price transparency task forces.
