Here are four things to know about Mr. Olm-Shipman.
1. He replaces Jani L. Johnson, RN, MSN, who assumed the position of CEO of Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City (Mo.) July 27.
2. Most recently, Mr. Olm-Shipman was vice president of planning and project management for Kansas City, Mo.-based Saint Luke’s Health System, a position he held since 2013. In that role, he worked with colleagues throughout the organization “to develop and implement strategic and program development plans,” according to the health system.
3. Previously, Mr. Olm-Shipman managed Saint Luke’s Health System’s Vision 2020 initiative designed to improve organizational efficiency, value and cost reduction, and led operations for Saint Luke’s neuroscience program. He joined Saint Luke’s Health System in 2003.
4. Mr. Olm-Shipman earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in health policy and management from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
