Bluefield Regional Medical Center CEO resigns: 3 things to know

David Henry, CEO of Bluefield (W. Va.) Regional Medical Center, has resigned to pursue an out-of-state professional opportunity, according to a Bluefield Daily Telegraph report.

Here are three things to know about the resignation.

1. The resignation comes about a year after Mr. Henry was appointed CEO of BRMC.

2. Mr. Henry said his decision to leave was difficult “because of the many strong relationships I’ve built here with our talented physicians, employees and volunteers,” according to the report.

3. In light of Mr. Henry’s resignation, hospital executive Gigi Fergus will serve as interim CEO until a new CEO can be appointed.
