St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare named Richard Liekweg president.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Liekweg most recently served as executive vice president of BJC HealthCare.

2. He has served in numerous roles within BJC since 2009, including as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

3. Prior to joining of BJC, he was associate vice chancellor and CEO of the University of California San Diego Medical Center.

4. He will report to BJC CEO Steve Lipstein.
