Baylor St. Luke’s leadership changes continue

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston appointed Nancy Hellyer, BSN, as acting chief administrative officer Feb. 1, effective immediately.

Four things to know:

1. Ms. Hellyer will work closely with hospital leadership, physician staff and employees to further improve hospital operations and employee engagement, according to a news release obtained by Becker’s Hospital Review.

2. Her past leadership experience includes serving as the former CEO of Irving, Texas-based Christus Health’s central Louisiana region and the former president of Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La.

3. Ms. Hellyer earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.

4. Her appointment comes as Baylor St. Luke’s made several leadership appointments after three top executives resigned.
