Bayhealth names new chief nurse executive

Dover, Del.-based Bayhealth selected Brenda Blain, BSN, MSN, DNP, RN-BC, to serve as senior vice president and chief nurse executive.

Most recently, Ms. Blain served as chief nurse officer and COO for Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Irving (Texas). She earned her doctorate in nursing practice from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

In her new role, Ms. Blain will oversee several services including patient care, emergency, trauma, perioperative and operating room as well as clinical education.
