Bayfront Health-St. Petersburg CEO Kathryn Gillette to retire: 5 things to know

Bayfront Health-St. Petersburg (Fla.) CEO Kathryn Gillette is planning to retire in August, according to a Tampa Bay Times report.

Here are five things to know:

1. Ms. Gillette served as CEO of the organization since 2013.

2. She led the organization’s transition from a nonprofit to a for-profit entity. She also played a key role in establishing a partnership with the University of South Florida in Tampa.

3. Prior to joining Bayfront, she worked for Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America, where she served in numerous leadership roles, including CEO of Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Fla., according to LinkedIn.

4. She also served in senior finance roles, such as CFO, at Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital.

5. The hospital’s board is working with Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, Bayfront’s parent, to find a successor.
