Bay Area Hospital CEO to retire in January: 3 takeaways

Paul Janke, president and CEO of Coos Bay, Ore.-based Bay Area Hospital, is retiring in early January 2019, ending a 10-year tenure, according to The World.

Here are three takeaways:

1. During Mr. Janke’s tenure, the hospital completed a $8 million emergency room and psychiatric unit project as well as a $50 million nursing tower addition.

2. He also oversaw the development of the Bay Area Cancer Center.

3. Brian Moore will succeed Mr. Janke. Mr. Moore has previously served as CEO of Pueblo, Colo.-based St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center.
