Barnes-Jewish Names New President

Richard Liekweg has been named the next president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, both in St. Louis, Mo., effective Sept. 14, according to a report by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Mr. Liekweg will also serve as group president of BJC HealthCare and will report to the president and CEO of BJC HealthCare, Steven Lipstein.

Mr. Liekweg currently serves as CEO and associate vice chancellor of the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. He previously served in various leadership positions, including CEO and COO, with Duke University Health System.
