Baptist Health Richmond (Ky.) has named Marcie Backus, DNP, vice president and chief nursing officer.
Dr. Backus has spent 25 years at the hospital, part of Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health, in a range of nursing roles. She most recently served as executive director of quality, safety and patient experience.
Dr. Backus succeeds Mendy Blair, DNP, who is retiring after 42 years of service, according to a Sept. 3 news release.
Baptist Health Richmond is one of eight hospitals in the Baptist Health system, which employs more than 23,000 people across Kentucky and southern Indiana.
