Ballad Health appoints new Kingsport operations president, overseeing 2 hospitals: 5 notes

Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health selected Lindy White to serve as president of the its Kingsport, Tenn., operations, effective Jan. 14.

Here are five notes:

1. As Kingsport operations president, Ms. White will serve as CEO of Holston Valley Medical Center and Indian Path Community Hospital, both in Kingsport, as well as oversee all outpatient services.

2. She most recently served as CEO of Providence Northeast Hospital in Columbia, S.C.

3. She also has experience serving as Roanoke, Va.-based Carilion Clinic and Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Va.

4. Ms. White succeeds Monty McLaurin, who is transitioning to the role of president of the northwest division for Ballad Health. Ms. White will report to Mr. McLaurin.

5. The health system was formed by the merger of Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Health System and Johnson City-based Mountain States Health Alliance in February.
