Atrium Health names Central Division leader: 4 notes

Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health selected Vicki Block to serve as senior vice president, Central Division, overseeing operations for Carolinas Medical Center, Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy and Levine Children’s Hospital, all based in Charlotte.

Four notes:

1. Ms. Block, who will assume her new role April 1, most recently served as COO of Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

2. She was previously an executive at Raleigh, N.C.-based WakeMed Health.

3. She serves on the American Heart Association’s Central Ohio Board of Directors.

4. Ms. Block holds a master’s degree in hospital and healthcare administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
