Mr. Sanders joined The Medical Center, the precursor to Columbus Regional, as vice president in 1981. He became the executive vice president and COO of the center in 1983 and of Columbus Regional when it was created in 1986. In 1989 he became CEO and chairman of the Board of Directors.
The executive committee of the board of directors will choose Mr. Sanders’s successor.
