Hiram Jacob was named president of Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas.
Mr. Jacob most recently served as COO of Chippenham Hospital, a 466-bed tertiary care facility in Richmond, Va., according to a Sept. 22 news release. There he provided executive oversight for surgical, emergency, cardiovascular, trauma and burn, oncology and neuroscience service lines.
He has led the planning and execution of more than $500 million in capital investments, including patient tower construction, freestanding emergency departments and operating room expansions, the release said.
Ascension Providence is part of St. Louis-based Ascension.
