Lacey Carter, MSN, has been named CEO of Blytheville, Ark.-based Mississippi County Hospital System, effective immediately.
Ms. Carter joined the system from West Plains, Mo.-based Ozarks Healthcare, where she held several leadership roles including COO, chief nursing officer and executive director of nursing, according to an April 3 health system news release shared with Becker’s.
She succeeds Josh Conlee, senior vice president of strategic services for St. Bernards Healthcare, who had served as interim CEO since January. Her appointment follows a December vote by the health system board to partner with St. Bernards for management assistance of its hospitals.
Through the agreement, St. Bernards manages day-to-day operations at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville and South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola, Ark.
