Jennifer Mendrzycki, president and CEO of Tucson, Ariz.-based TMC Health, has left the organization for personal reasons.
“Her decision was made after significant reflection and careful consideration, and she leaves with confidence in the organization’s continued strength, momentum and ability to serve the community with excellence,” according to a July 31 Facebook post from Tucson Medical Center.
The system appointed Mimi Coomler, BSN, as its next president and CEO, effective July 31. Ms. Coomler was named executive vice president and COO on July 13. She joined TMC Health in 2006 and previously served as chief hospital executive and CEO of Tucson Medical Center.
Ms. Mendrzycki had served as CEO since May 2024, according to her LinkedIn profile. During her tenure, she guided the system through a period of growth with a focus on quality, access and service to patients and the community, the system wrote.
TMC Health comprises four hospitals serving Southern Arizona.
