Tucson, Ariz.-based TMC Health promoted two executives in health system operational and external affairs roles.

Mimi Coomler, BSN, was named executive vice president and COO, a newly created role designed to “bring sharper focus and momentum to enterprise execution” as the system grows in size, complexity and scope, according to a July 13 TMC Health news release that was shared with Becker’s.

Ms. Coomler joined TMC Health in 2006 and most recently served as chief hospital executive and CEO of Tucson Medical Center. The health system said it will launch a search for the next CEO of Tucson Medical Center.
