“The governing board, in consultation with Shawn Morrow, has mutually agreed that it is in the best interest of the organization to make a change in CEO leadership,” board Chairman Paul Watson told staff in a March 7 letter, according to the newspaper.
“We are grateful for all of Shawn’s contributions. His leadership was instrumental in changing Summit’s strategic trajectory to account for how healthcare is evolving.”
Mr. Morrow had served as CEO of Summit Healthcare since August 2021.
According to the White Mountain Independent, Mr. Morrow told staff that “it has been a pleasure serving alongside Summit team members. As I look to the next chapter of my career, I do so with tremendous gratitude to have worked with so many good people.”
Mr. Watson is serving in the hospital leadership capacity during the search for an interim CEO.
Before joining Summit Healthcare, Mr. Morrow served as administrator/CEO of Intermountain Health’s LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.
