Ethan Chernin is no longer president of hospital services at Brentwood, Tenn.-based Ardent Health, effective March 24, according to a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ardent Health said in its filing that the company treated the departure as a “qualifying termination” under its executive severance plan and that Mr. Chernin is entitled to receive severance and related benefits for the separation.
An Ardent Health spokesperson told Becker’s that the company, as a general practice, does not comment on personnel matters and did not share additional details on the change.
Mr. Chernin joined Ardent Health in 2024 to lead the company’s clinic operations and physician practices, support value-based care evolution and oversee ambulatory strategy and development.
Before joining Ardent Health, Mr. Chernin served as chief population health officer for Tampa, Fla.-based Healthmap Solutions, a kidney population health management company.
Ardent Health operates 30 hospitals and 280 sites of care across six states. In 2025, the company recorded net income of $135.8 million (2.2% margin), down from $210.3 million (3.8% margin) in 2024.
