Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s foundation appoints chief development officer: 4 things to know

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago has appointed Grant Stirling, PhD, as executive vice president and chief development officer of its foundation, effective Aug. 1.

Here are four things to know about Dr. Stirling.

1. He has served as chief development officer of the SickKids Foundation, which raises funds on behalf of the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

2. Dr. Stirling has presented widely on fundraising to advance research and other key issues in philanthropy at professional conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada, according to a news release.

3. He also served as chairman of conference committees for the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and the Woodmark Group, an organization of 26 prominent children’s hospitals. 

4. Dr. Stirling earned a doctorate degree in English language and literature from York University in Toronto.
