Andy Davis named CEO of Ascension Texas

St. Louis-based Ascension has appointed Andy Davis president and CEO of Ascension Texas.

Mr. Davis also will serve as senior vice president of Ascension. He has served as interim CEO of Ascension Texas since July 1, when Craig Cordola was promoted to COO of Ascension.

Previously, Mr. Davis was COO of the Texas region, which includes the Ascension Seton network, based in Austin and the Ascension Providence network, based in Waco. Together, Ascension Seton and Ascension Providence include 12 acute care hospitals and a health plan that covers more than 250,000 people.

Mr. Davis has worked at Ascension 13 years, formerly serving as COO of Ascension’s St. Vincent’s Health System in Birmingham, Ala.

He holds an MBA and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
