Amy Carrier to serve as inaugural COO of Bon Secours Virginia

Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System selected Amy Carrier to serve as COO of Richmond-based Bon Secours Virginia, a newly created leadership role.

In her new role, Ms. Carrier will oversee acute care operations for Bon Secours Virginia’s eight hospitals. Bon Secours created the new role to “streamline operations and encourage growth” across Bon Secours Virginia. Ms. Carrier will assume the new role in April.

Ms. Carrier comes to Bon Secours from Marietta, Ga.-based WellStar Health System, where she served as senior vice president and president of WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga. She also has prior experience as vice president and COO at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Md.

Ms. Carrier holds an MBA degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
