Allegheny Valley Hospital names new CEO: 3 things to know

Natrona Heights, Pa.-based Allegheny Valley Hospital has promoted Bill Englert, the hospital’s vice president of operations and business development, to CEO, according to a TribLive report.

Mr. Englert will take over the CEO position next week.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Englert.

1. Mr. Englert joined Allegheny Valley Hospital as a staff pharmacist in 1981.

2. Mr. Englert continued to move up in his career and eventually was named operations manager in 2000, then vice president of operations and business development in 2003.

3. Mr. Englert has focused on community outreach and “making certain the hospital offers the kinds of care the Alle-Kiski Valley needs,” the report reads.
