Austin Purkeypile has been appointed president of Adventist Health Simi Valley (Calif.), part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, according to a March 25 news release shared with Becker’s.
Mr. Purkeypile will assume the role March 30 and report to Alice Issai, president of Adventist Health’s Southern California network, according to the release.
He most recently served as vice president of physician network, business development and strategy for Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth’s Mid-America region, where he oversaw operations and strategic growth of a 200-provider medical group in the Kansas City market.
Mr. Purkeypile previously served as COO of AdventHealth East Orlando, where he oversaw the development of gastroenterology and cardiology groups and the launch of a STEMI program.
Adventist Health operates more than 440 care sites across the West Coast and Hawaii, including 27 acute care hospitals.
