AdventHealth taps hospital CEO as division chief people officer

Amanda Maggard, CEO of AdventHealth Celebration (Fla.), has been appointed chief people officer of the Multi-State Division at Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth.

Ms. Maggard will step into her new role Feb. 2, according to a Jan. 14 LinkedIn post from Doug Harcombe, CEO of AdventHealth’s Central Florida-South Market.

She has served as CEO of AdventHealth Celebration since 2023. Before that, she was president and CEO of AdventHealth Zephyrhills and AdventHealth Dade City, both in Florida, beginning in 2017, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Ms. Maggard will be succeeded by Michael Mewhirter, CEO of AdventHealth East Orlando (Fla.), who will assume leadership of the Celebration campus on Feb. 2.
