Michael Mewhirter has been appointed CEO of AdventHealth Celebration (Fla.), effective Feb. 2.
Mr. Mewhirter most recently served as CEO of AdventHealth East Orlando (Fla.), according to a Jan. 12 AdventHealth news release shared with Becker’s. He previously held the role of vice president and COO at AdventHealth Celebration, where he oversaw the addition of an eight-story patient tower and the groundbreaking of the offsite AdventHealth Meadow Woods ER.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Mewhirter held leadership roles at Kettering (Ohio) Health, AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, Fla., and AdventHealth North Pinellas in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
