AdventHealth taps CEO for planned hospital

Kay Barnett was named CEO of AdventHealth’s Minneola, Fla. hospital, which is set to open in late 2025.

The $271 million hospital is an 80-bed facility and comes after the city’s population grew nearly 14% from 2020 to 2022.

Ms. Barnett is currently vice president of strategy and emerging operations for the Northwest Market of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division, according to an Aug. 20 news release shared with Becker’s.

In her vice president role, Ms. Barnett leads the market’s strategy and growth functions, which includes four hospitals and four ERs.

Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth has more than 50 hospitals, as well as urgent cares and home health agencies.
