“My actual retirement goal was December, 2015, but with the changes taking place at the hospital I decided that my replacement deserved the opportunity to learn from the expert consultants that are here with the Rural Hospital Group. I feel this will be best for the hospital,” Ms. Stevens told The Ledger Independent. The Rural Hospital Group is a consulting firm the hospital hired.

Ms. Stevens has been with Adams County Regional Medical Center since 1971. She plans to remain at the hospital as an active volunteer after retiring, according to the report.
